Strawberry Shortcake: Let's Dance is a fun animated movie that came out in 2007. It was first shown in some movie theaters by Kidtoon Films on September 1, 2007. Later, on October 2, 2007, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment released it directly to DVD. This means you could buy it to watch at home without it having a big cinema release everywhere.

Story Overview

Just like other Strawberry Shortcake DVDs, Let's Dance tells its story in a special way. It uses a "compilation" format. This means Strawberry Shortcake looks back at past adventures in her "Remembering Book." This movie features two exciting episodes: Dancin' in Disguise and Meet Apricot.

Dancin' in Disguise

In this episode, the sneaky Pie-Man and Sour Grapes try to take over Strawberryland. Sour Grapes pretends to be a dance teacher. Their plan is to keep all the girls super busy with dance lessons. But something unexpected happens! Sour Grapes starts to really enjoy teaching the girls. She has a change of heart and decides to betray the Pie-Man. This shows that even villains can learn to love something good.

Meet Apricot

This part of the movie introduces a brand-new friend to Strawberryland named Apricot. When Apricot first arrives, she tries to fit in by telling big, made-up stories. She thinks these "tall tales" will make everyone like her. However, Apricot soon learns an important lesson. She discovers that you don't need to make up stories for people to like you. Being yourself is the best way to make true friends.

Movie Music

A special music album for Strawberry Shortcake: Let's Dance was released by Koch Records. It came out on September 25, 2007. This was more than a week before the movie was available on DVD. The album also includes songs from other Strawberry Shortcake adventures. These include music for the Berry Blossom Festival and another DVD called Berry Big Journeys.
