Chronology
Preceded by 1980s Strawberry Shortcake specials
Followed by Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures (2010)

Strawberry Shortcake is an American animated show. It was made by DIC Entertainment Corporation and American Greetings. The show is based on the popular characters of the same name. It first came out in March 2003.

This series was mostly released directly to video. Some parts of the show also aired on TV channels. These included HBO and HBO Family. The show also appeared in broadcast syndication. This means different TV stations could show it.

The voice actors from the 1980s Strawberry Shortcake shows did not return. Instead, new, younger actors were chosen. In 2010, a new series called Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures took its place. This happened after the characters got a fresh new look in 2009.

Bonus Content and Public Service Messages

Special Short Films

A short five-minute film was made for Strawberry Shortcake. It was called "Growing Better All the Time." You could find it as a bonus on the Care Bears: Daydreams DVD. This DVD was released on October 14, 2003.

Many scenes from this short film were later used. They appeared in the second opening of the 2000s Strawberry Shortcake series. The song from the short was also put on the "Strawberry Jams" music CD.

Helping Animals with PSAs

A Public Service Announcement (PSA) was also created. A PSA is a message that helps the public. This one was for the ASPCA. The ASPCA is an organization that helps animals.

The PSA aired in the United States. In it, Strawberry Shortcake talked about how to take good care of pets. She shared important tips for pet owners.

The episodes released were:

These Game Boy Advance versions were shorter than the original videos. They were edited to fit the cartridge. This meant some songs and scenes were not included.
