Opened on December 18, 1951, it is mainly the home gym for Struthers High School sports teams. For many years, it has been a popular place for sports and fun in the Youngstown, Ohio area.

Sports and Entertainment at Struthers Fieldhouse
The Struthers Fieldhouse has a long history. It has hosted many exciting events. From thrilling basketball games to live music concerts, this venue has seen it all.
Basketball Games and Tournaments
The Fieldhouse is the main gym for the Struthers High School boys' and girls' basketball teams. It has also hosted many important Ohio High School Athletic Association tournaments. A famous basketball game between Struthers and Campbell was even featured on the cover of Boys' Life magazine in March 1963.
Boxing Matches and Champions
Many professional boxing events have taken place at the Fieldhouse since 1957. Famous boxers like Harry Arroyo, Ray Mancini, Héctor Camacho, and Kelly Pavlik have all competed here.
Professional Wrestling Events
The World Wrestling Federation (WWF) used the gym for several wrestling matches. This happened during the 1980s and 1990s. Episodes of the WWF's Monday Night Raw show were even filmed here. These episodes aired on May 23, 1994, and June 5, 1995.
Music Concerts and Famous Bands
Before the Beeghly Center opened in 1972, the Fieldhouse was one of the biggest indoor concert spots in the Youngstown, Ohio area. Many famous musicians have performed there. These include James Brown, The Velvet Underground, The Guess Who, and Alice Cooper. More recently, bands like Trapt, Smile Empty Soul, Finger Eleven, and Strata played a concert in 2004. Other bands like Flyleaf, Shinedown, Seether, and Halestorm also performed in 2006.
Television Show Filming
The Struthers Fieldhouse was even used as a filming location for a TV show. Parts of the Route 66 episode "The Opponent" were filmed there. This happened in the fall of 1960. The gym, hallways, and locker rooms were all used in the show.
