The Struthers Memorial Fieldhouse, often called Struthers Fieldhouse, is a big building in Struthers, Ohio. It has 3,000 seats and is used for many different things. It opened on December 18, 1951. This building is mainly the home gym for the sports teams at Struthers High School. It has also been a popular place for fun events and sports for the wider Youngstown, Ohio area.

Basketball Games and Tournaments

The Struthers Fieldhouse is the main gym for the Struthers High School boys' and girls' basketball teams. It has also hosted many exciting tournaments for the Ohio High School Athletic Association. A basketball game played here was even shown on the cover of Boys' Life magazine in March 1963!

Famous Boxers at the Fieldhouse

Many professional boxing matches have taken place at the Fieldhouse since 1957. Some very famous boxers have competed here. These include former world champions like Harry Arroyo, Ray Mancini, Héctor Camacho, and Kelly Pavlik.

Professional Wrestling Shows

The World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which is now called WWE, held several wrestling matches at the Fieldhouse. This happened during the 1980s and 1990s. Two episodes of the WWF's popular TV show, Monday Night Raw, were filmed here. These episodes aired on May 23, 1994, and June 5, 1995.

Music Concerts and Bands

Before a new venue opened in 1972, the Fieldhouse was one of the biggest places for rock concerts in the Youngstown, Ohio area. Many famous music acts have performed here. These include James Brown, The Velvet Underground, The Guess Who, and Alice Cooper. More recently, bands like Trapt, Smile Empty Soul, Finger Eleven, and Strata played a concert here in 2004. Other bands like Flyleaf, Shinedown, Seether, and Halestorm also performed in 2006.

Filming Location for TV Shows

The Struthers Fieldhouse has even been used for filming television shows! Parts of an episode from the TV series Route 66 were filmed here. This happened in the fall of 1960. The gym, hallways, and locker rooms were all used in the show.
