Sudhanoti (Urdu: ضلع سدھنوتی) is a district located in Azad Kashmir, which is a self-governing territory within Pakistan.
This area was very important in the past. It was a key place where people fought for their freedom against the Dogra rulers and the British Empire. For a while, Sudhanoti was even the capital of Azad Kashmir and Jammu before the capital moved to Muzaffarabad. In the year 2000, it was officially named Sudhanoti as a new district. This name honors the Sudhen tribe, who are an important group in the region.

The Sudhanoti district is divided into smaller areas called tehsils. Think of a tehsil as a sub-district. There are four of these tehsils that help manage the district:
