Sugar is a fun TV cooking show all about desserts! It aired on Food Network Canada and was hosted by the amazing Canadian pastry chef Anna Olson. The show's goal was to help people make delicious sweet treats. It also gave ideas on how to make desserts look super fancy when you serve them.
About the Show
Sugar first started in October 2002. Each episode was about 24 minutes long. The show focused completely on making desserts.
How Each Episode Works
Every episode of Sugar had a special main ingredient. For example, one episode might be all about chocolate.
- First, Anna Olson would show how to make a simple dessert using that ingredient.
- Then, she would create a more complex or fancy dessert. This one also used the same main ingredient.
- Near the end of the show, there was a part called the "Switch-Up." Here, Anna would take the first simple dessert and make it even more special. She would add a few cool tricks to change it up.

Sugar was very popular and aired for five seasons. It showed a total of 151 episodes. The show was so well-liked that it was shown in 40 different countries around the world!
