Suhail Chandhok is an Indian TV presenter and sports commentator. He works for Star Sports and talks about many different sports like cricket, hockey, kabaddi, and football. He also acted in a Tamil movie called Veeram with actor Ajith Kumar. Suhail comes from a family of sports lovers. His dad, Vicky Chandhok, was a famous racing champion in India. His older brother, Karun Chandhok, is one of only two Indian drivers to have raced in Formula 1.

Early Life and Education

Suhail went to school at Sishya School in Chennai, India. After that, he moved to Australia to study at the University of Adelaide. He earned a degree in business and marketing. While there, he became the first Indian cricket player from his university to receive a special award called the Oxford-Cambridge Half Blue Award.

Playing Cricket and Acting

Suhail grew up in a family that loved sports. He even played cricket for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for two years. Sadly, his cricket career ended early because of knee injuries.

Suhail also had a passion for acting. He started making short films on YouTube under the name "Johnny Vetrivel." These videos became quite popular and even caught the eye of famous South Indian actor, Ajith Kumar. This led Suhail to act in the Tamil movie Veeram, where he played one of Ajith Kumar's younger brothers.

After his acting role, Suhail became a sports presenter and commentator for Star Sports. He now covers many sports, including cricket, football, hockey, and Pro Kabaddi.

For cricket, Suhail has hosted and presented big events like the ICC World Cup in 2015, the ICC T20 World Cup in 2016, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017 for Star Sports. He has also been a presenter for the IPL on Hotstar.

Suhail's parents are Vicky Chandhok and Chitra Chandhok. His father, Vicky, was a well-known racing and rally driver and led a big racing championship in Asia. Suhail's older brother is Karun Chandhok, who used to be a Formula 1 driver and is now a commentator.

Suhail married Trishya Screwvala on January 19, 2017. Trishya is the daughter of Ronnie Screwvala, a famous Indian film producer. Their wedding was a private event held in Mumbai, followed by a reception. Many celebrities and business leaders attended the celebrations.
