Suphan Buri is a province in Thailand with a very long history. People have found signs that it was settled over 2,500 years ago! This means people lived here even during the Stone Age and Iron Age.
The old name for Suphan Buri was Tarawadeesrisuphannapoom. It was also called Phan Tumaburi. This ancient city was located on the banks of the Ta Jeen River. During the Ayutthaya Kingdom period, Suphan Buri was an important capital city. It served as a key outpost and a major place for storing grain.

Suphan Buri is located in central Thailand. It is about 108 kilometers (67 miles) away from Bangkok, the capital city.

The province is divided into 10 main areas called Amphoe. These Amphoe are further split into 110 smaller areas called tambon (communes). Inside these tambon, there are 997 villages.

Suphan Buri has many interesting places that are great for visitors, especially families and kids!
- Buffalo Villages
- This village is in Amphoe Si Prachan. It shows how Thai people used to live with buffaloes. You can also find places to stay overnight at a good price.
- Sam Chuk 100-Year Market
- Located in Amphoe Sam Chuk, this market has been a Chinese community for a very long time. It's a cool place to visit because you can find many old and unique items for sale.
- Banharn-Jamsai Tower
- You can find this tower in Amphoe Mueang Suphan Buri. From the top, you can see amazing views of the entire Suphan Buri province. There's also an amusement park nearby for extra fun!
- Bueng Chawak Aquarium
- This is a very exciting place to visit in Amphoe Doem Bang Nang Buat. It has many different areas, including a zoo, an underwater world exhibit, tree houses, and even a park dedicated to vegetables!
