Susan Batson is an American actress, author, and acting coach. She was born on February 27, 1943, in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Susan is also a producer and a lifelong member of the Actors Studio, a famous place where actors train. She studied at Girls Latin School and Emerson College.
Susan is one of three sisters. Her mother, Ruth Batson, was a well-known civil rights activist who worked for equal rights. Susan learned acting from some of the best teachers, including Harold Clurman and Lee Strasberg. She has helped many famous actresses improve their skills, including Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Juliette Binoche.

Susan Batson has won several awards for her work. In 1971, she received the Obie Award for her performance in a play called AC-DC. She also acted on Broadway, which is the highest level of theater in New York City. Her Broadway shows included George M! in 1968 and The Leaf People in 1975.
Susan also worked as a producer for the 2006 Broadway play A Raisin in the Sun. This play is very famous and important. She also won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for her role in Adventures of a Black Girl in Search of God.
