Swan Lake is a beautiful lake located in Montana, a state in the United States. It sits east of a larger lake called Flathead Lake and near the town of Bigfork, Montana. The lake gets its water from the Swan River, which flows into it from the south.
Swan Lake is known for being long, narrow, and a bit twisty. This shape can make it a little tricky to move around on by boat.
About Swan Lake
Location and Geography
Swan Lake is part of a special area known as the Seeley/Swan. This name comes from two river valleys: the Swan River Valley and the Clearwater River Valley. A small natural barrier separates these two valleys. The Clearwater River flows south through a series of lakes, like Seeley Lake, before joining the Blackfoot River.
The lake itself runs right next to Montana Highway 83, making it easy to visit.
