Syd Vanderpool, born on September 23, 1972, is a well-known Canadian boxing coach. He was once a professional boxer and held an important title called the NABO (North American Boxing Organization) super middleweight championship. In 2004, he was even ranked as the best super middleweight boxer in the world by the International Boxing Federation.

Syd Vanderpool had an exciting career as a boxer. He faced some of the biggest names in the sport, including world champions like Bernard Hopkins and Jeff Lacy. He also earned a big win against Glen Johnson.
Life After Boxing
After many years of fighting, Syd decided to stop competing in May 2005. He finished his professional boxing career with an impressive record of 35 wins and only 4 losses. Out of his wins, 23 were by knockout, which means he won by making his opponent unable to continue.
After retiring from the ring, Syd became the CEO of the Boxing By Syd Athletic Centre in Kitchener, Ontario. He grew up as the youngest of five brothers. His father was a big supporter and even built a full-size boxing ring in their backyard for Syd to practice.
Syd believes that true success isn't just about how good you are at boxing. He thinks it's more about the good relationships you build with people while you work towards your goals.
Personal Life and Coaching
Syd Vanderpool is married to Michelle, and they have three children named Alexus, Destini, and Jaelen. They have been married since 2002.
Syd also runs a very successful boxing gym called SydFit. At his gym, he trains many boxers, both young and old. He also teaches fitness classes for people of all ages. Syd is passionate about creating a place where people can become "Champions," not just in boxing, but in life.
