Sykes baronets facts for kids
A baronetcy is a special title given by the British King or Queen. It's like being a knight, but the title can be passed down through the family, usually to the oldest son. People with this title are called "Sir" before their name.
There have been four different Sykes family lines that received a baronetcy. Two of these titles were created a long time ago, in the Baronetage of Great Britain, and two were created more recently, in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. As of 2008, three of these titles still exist.
