Sylvester Emeka Igbonu (born September 8, 1990), known as Sylvester Igboun, is a talented football player from Nigeria. He plays as a forward, which means he's usually trying to score goals for his team. People know him for his amazing speed on the field.
His real family name is Igbonu. But when he got his passport, it was accidentally spelled wrong. On his football shirt, he uses his cool nickname, "Sly," instead of his last name.

Club Career Highlights
Sylvester Igboun has played for several football clubs around the world. He started his journey in Denmark before moving to Russia and then India.
Playing in Denmark
Sylvester played for FC Midtjylland in Denmark for many years. He joined their youth team in 2006 and then became a professional player for them in 2010. He was a key player for Midtjylland.
Moving to Russia
On July 13, 2015, Sylvester moved to Russia. He signed with FC Ufa, a team in the Russian Premier League. He played many games for Ufa and scored important goals.
In September 2019, he joined FC Dynamo Moscow on a loan. This meant he played for Dynamo for a short time while still belonging to Ufa. Dynamo fans really liked him. They even voted him their player of the month for September 2019!
In August 2020, Dynamo Moscow decided to sign him permanently. This meant he officially became a full-time player for Dynamo. He played for them until January 2022, when his contract ended.
Short Stays and New Adventures
After leaving Dynamo, Sylvester joined FC Nizhny Novgorod in February 2022. However, his time there was very short. His contract ended by mutual agreement in March 2022.
In September 2022, Sylvester tried a new adventure. He signed a two-year contract with NorthEast United FC, a team in the Indian Super League. He played his first game for them in October. Sadly, he left the team soon after. He said it was because the team's facilities and places to stay were not good enough.
International Career
Sylvester Igboun has also played for his home country, Nigeria. He made his first international appearance for the Nigeria national football team on September 5, 2015. This was during a game against Tanzania. He came into the game as a substitute in the second half.
