The Symphony of Southeast Texas is a group of musicians in Beaumont, Texas. They play beautiful music together. This orchestra started in 1953. Before that, it was called the Beaumont Symphony Orchestra. Their main stage is the Julie Rogers Theater in downtown Beaumont. More than 80 musicians play in this symphony!

About the Symphony
The Symphony of Southeast Texas is an American orchestra. An orchestra is a large group of musicians. They play many different musical instruments. These include string, woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. The symphony has been playing music for over 60 years.
What Kinds of Music Do They Play?
The symphony plays many different types of concerts. Each year, they have classical music concerts. They also perform fun "pops" concerts. These often feature popular songs. There is also a special Holiday concert.
The symphony also performs free concerts. They have concerts just for young people. They also do "side-by-side" concerts. In these, students play music with professional musicians. They even play for Beaumont's annual July 4th celebration!
How the Symphony is Supported
The Symphony League of Beaumont helps the orchestra. This group used to be called the Beaumont Symphony Women's League. It started in 1955. The league gives money and other help to the symphony.
