System Crash was a fun Canadian TV show made for young people. It was a sketch comedy show, which means it had lots of short, funny scenes. The show aired on YTV from 1999 to 2001.

The story was about a group of students at a junior high school called Lambton Junior High. They were part of their school's media club. Each episode showed funny things that happened at their school during the past week. Often, an episode would have a special theme, like parents or school projects.

Funny Parts of the Show

This show had many recurring segments that viewers loved. These were like mini-shows within the main show.

Regular Segments You'd See

  • Fly on the Wall: This segment used hidden cameras. It showed what happened when no one thought they were being watched. For example, it explored why girls go to the bathroom together.
  • Burnbaum Helps: A character named Burnbaum tried to help people. But his help always made things worse for the person who asked! This segment later changed to "Battleford Helps" when Burnbaum left the show.
  • Canadian Council for Concerned Kids: Zoe hosted this segment. It was like a public service announcement. She gave important messages to adults about how they should treat kids.
  • Garage Band: In the first season, some episodes ended with a "Garage Band" segment. It featured the Canadian band Serial Joe playing funny songs with the main actors.
  • Lambton News: This segment talked about current events happening at the school. Carla Waller hosted it in the first season. Emily Pereira took over as host later on.
  • Sports Update: This part gave updates on sports at the school. Wedgie Goldstein hosted it first. Noogie Monoham (played by Zach Pettiford) hosted it afterwards.
  • Lambton Legends: This segment looked back at famous athletes and other well-known people from Lambton Junior High.
  • Lambton Home Shopping: Beau Peterson tried to sell useless products and inventions. He sold them to students in a funny way, like a TV home shopping channel.
  • Movie Spoofs: The show often made fun of popular movies. They spoofed films like Gladiator, Cast Away, Star Wars, The Matrix, and Jaws.
  • Kyle's Notes: Kyle Cooper gave lectures and shared his notes. But his information was not always reliable! This segment was only in the first season.
