Téléphone was a famous French rock band. It started in 1976 with four members: Jean-Louis Aubert (who sang and played guitar), Louis Bertignac (guitarist and singer), Corine Marienneau (bass guitar and singer), and Richard Kolinka (drums).
Their first album, also called Téléphone, came out in 1977. By the end of the 1970s, they were one of the biggest rock bands in France. They even opened concerts for the legendary band The Rolling Stones in cities like Paris, Quebec, places in the United States, and Japan. The band stopped playing together in 1986. They have sold about 10 million albums, which is a record for a French rock band.
Some of their most well-known songs include "Hygiaphone", "Métro c'est trop" ("Metro's Too Much"), "La bombe humaine" ("Human Bomb"), "Argent trop cher" ("Money Too Expensive"), "Ça c'est vraiment toi" ("That Is So You"), "Cendrillon" ("Cinderella"), "New York avec toi" ("New York City With You"), and "Un autre Monde" ("Another World").

The Band Reunites as "Les Insus?" (2015-2017)
The band members got back together for a short time in 2015. They played a concert on September 11, 2015, but they used a new name: "Les Insus?". This name comes from the French word insupportables, which means "insufferable." It also sounds a bit like portable, which means "cellphone" in French, suggesting a modern update.
For "Les Insus?", Jean-Louis Aubert, Louis Bertignac, and Richard Kolinka were still there. However, the bassist Corine Marienneau was replaced by Aleksander Angelov. This is why they couldn't use the name "Téléphone" anymore.
They played another concert in Lille on September 15. Then, on October 6, 2015, Les Insus? performed in Lyon. On November 29, 2015, the new group announced a big tour across France for 2016. Corine Marienneau did not join this tour. The tour ran from April 27 to November 11 in many major cities and at several music festivals.
On November 12, they announced more concerts for summer 2017 festivals. Their final show was at the Stade de France on September 15, 2017. A live album called Les Insus Live was released on September 8, 2017.
