Tōyō Bunko facts for kids
The Tōyō Bunko (東洋文庫) is a very important library located in Tokyo, Japan. It's the largest library in Japan that focuses on studying Asia. In fact, it's considered one of the five biggest libraries of its kind in the entire world!
This amazing library holds about 950,000 different documents. These include books, maps, and other important papers. They are written in many languages, like Japanese, other Asian languages, and Western languages too.
The Tōyō Bunko was started by a famous Japanese company called Mitsubishi Motors. It first opened its doors in 1924, making it nearly 100 years old! It's a fantastic place for anyone who wants to learn more about the history and cultures of Asia.
