The Toronto Dominion Tower is a very tall building, known as a skyscraper, located at 700 West Georgia Street in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This impressive building is connected to the Pacific Centre shopping mall, making it easy for people to shop and work in the same area.

What is the TD Tower?

The TD Tower stands at 127 meters (about 417 feet) tall. It has 30 floors, which means it's quite a climb to the top! The building was finished in 1972. When it was first built, people called it "the Black Tower" because of its dark glass outside. Some people thought it looked strange next to the white Eaton's building (which is now a Nordstrom store).

Who Works in the TD Tower?

The very first business to move into the TD Tower was a law firm called McLaughlin, Holburn & Beaudin. They moved in during January 1972 and set up their offices on the 16th floor. This law firm, now known as Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP, is still in the building today! They even have offices on the very top floors.

Since 1996, the TD Tower has also been home to Corus Radio Vancouver. Many other law firms, like Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy LLP, also have offices here. If you need an eye doctor, the Downtown Vancouver Optometry Clinic is another business located in the tower.
