Early Life and Education
Taja V. Simpson grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She went to LaGrange High School. After high school, she studied Mass Communications at McNeese State University.
Starting Her Acting Journey
After finishing college, Taja moved to Los Angeles. She started her acting career with small parts in TV shows. Some of these shows include Greek, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Grey's Anatomy.
From 2012 to 2014, Taja had a regular role. She played Adele in the CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. During this time, she also acted in several independent movies. In 2017, she starred in the movie Boo 2! A Madea Halloween. This film was directed by Tyler Perry. In 2019, she played a main role and helped make the movie My Online Valentine.
Becoming a TV Star
In 2019, Taja V. Simpson began starring in The Oval. This is a prime time soap opera on BET. Tyler Perry created the show.
