Raven's Home is an American family sitcom television series. It was created by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. The show first aired on Disney Channel on July 21, 2017. It stars Raven-Symoné, Issac Ryan Brown, Navia Robinson, Jason Maybaum, Sky Katz, and Anneliese van der Pol.
The series is a spinoff of the popular show That's So Raven. It continues the story of Raven Baxter, who is now a divorced mom. She has preteen twins named Booker and Nia. Raven lives with her best friend Chelsea and Chelsea's son Levi in Chicago, Illinois.

What the Show is About
The story of Raven's Home begins with best friends Raven and Chelsea. They are both single moms and decide to raise their children together. They share an apartment in Chicago. Their lives get super exciting when they discover something amazing. Raven's son, Booker, has inherited the same special powers as his mom. He can see glimpses of the future!

Main Characters
- Raven-Symoné as Raven Baxter: She is the single mom of twins Nia and Booker. Raven used to be a fashion designer for dogs. Later, she works as a car rental service driver. Raven has a secret: she can see visions of the future. She keeps this a secret from her kids at first. But later, she tells them in the episode "The Falcon and the Raven – Part Two". In later seasons, Raven starts her own fashion line called "Ravenous Fashion".
- Issac Ryan Brown as Booker Baxter-Carter: He is Raven's son and Nia's twin brother. Booker gets his first vision at school. He decides to keep his new powers a secret, especially from his mom. He doesn't know that his mom is also psychic! Booker only tells Levi, Tess, and Nia about his visions. He eventually tells his mom and Chelsea in "The Falcon and the Raven – Part One".
- Navia Robinson as Nia Baxter-Carter: She is Raven's daughter and Booker's twin sister. At first, Nia doesn't believe Booker about his visions. She thinks he's just making up stories. But when one of his visions comes true, she realizes he's telling the truth. Nia then helps him keep his powers a secret.
- Jason Maybaum as Levi Grayson: He is Chelsea's son. Levi is very grown-up for his age. He often acts like the responsible one compared to his mom. Levi is Booker's best friend and knows about Booker's psychic abilities.
- Sky Katz as Tess: She is Nia's street-smart best friend. Tess lives in the same building as Raven's family. Her last name is O'Malley. Tess quickly believes Booker about his visions. She helps him keep his powers a secret.
- Anneliese van der Pol as Chelsea Grayson: She is Raven's sweet and sometimes silly best friend. Chelsea is Levi's mom. She moved in with Raven after some money troubles. Chelsea often tries to cook for the family, but it usually doesn't go well! In season 2, she builds a vegetable garden on their building's rooftop.

- Jonathan McDaniel as Devon Carter: He is Raven's ex-husband and the father of Booker and Nia. Devon works as a meteorologist. He knows about Raven's special abilities. After they separated, Devon moved to Dallas, Texas.
- Anthony Alabi as Coach Spitz: He is the gym teacher at George Washington Carver Community School.
- Jenna Davis as Sienna: She is a popular student at George Washington Carver Community School. Sienna has many followers on a social media app called Peanut Face.
- Dylan Martin Frankel as Mitch: He is the son of the apartment building's new owner, Richard Moseley. Mitch helps manage the apartment building.
- Laya DeLeon Hayes as Zeena: She is a student at George Washington Carver Community School. Zeena is the leader of the Red Hot Chili Steppers dance group.
Special Guest Stars
- Brian George as Dr. Sleevemore: He is a scientist who can see the future and move things with his mind. He helped Raven with her psychic problems when she was in high school. He also helped Booker when he froze during a vision.
- Rondell Sheridan as Victor: He is Raven's father and the grandfather of Booker and Nia. Victor is a chef. He comes to Chicago to help Raven when Chelsea is away.
How the Show Was Made
People wondered for a long time if That's So Raven would get a new show. On October 27, 2016, Disney Channel announced a pilot episode for a new series. Raven-Symoné also shared that she would leave her job on The View to work on the show full time.
On November 14, 2016, it was announced that Anneliese van der Pol would return as Chelsea Daniels. She would play a divorced mom raising her son, Levi, and moving in with Raven. Disney Channel officially approved the series, calling it Raven's Home, on April 4, 2017. Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas were the main writers and producers. Raven-Symoné also joined the writing team as an executive producer. The show is filmed at Hollywood Center Studios.
Disney Channel renewed the show for a second season on October 10, 2017. Filming for the second season started in November 2017. For the second season, Michael Feldman and Dava Savel took over as the main producers. Both Savel and Feldman had worked on That's So Raven. A special musical episode of the series aired on October 12, 2018.
The show was renewed for a third season. Eunetta T. Boone became the new main producer for this season. Sadly, production for the third season was paused after Eunetta T. Boone passed away. The third season premiered on June 17, 2019.
On October 16, 2019, Disney Channel announced that the series was renewed for a fourth season. Production was planned to start in 2019. Alison Taylor also joined the team as an executive producer.
On June 29, 2020, it was announced that Raven's Home and Bunk'd would have a special crossover episode. This special aired on July 24, 2020.
Show Broadcast and Reviews
The very first episode of Raven's Home aired right after the movie Descendants 2 on Disney Channel. This was on July 21, 2017. The first season ended on October 20, 2017. The second season started on June 25, 2018.
What People Thought
Raven's Home has received good reviews from critics. Georgia Davis, writing for The Post, said the first episode kept the fun and energy of the original show. She liked Raven and Chelsea's characters and the child actors' performances. Emily Ashby from Common Sense Media wrote that fans of That's So Raven would find more to love in this show. She thought it balanced adult problems and tween challenges very well.
