Takekazu Suzuki (鈴木 武一, Suzuki Takekazu, born April 8, 1956) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He was born in Shiogama, Japan. Suzuki is known for his time as a midfielder for Yomiuri. Later, he also became a manager for various football clubs.

Takekazu Suzuki's Football Journey

Takekazu Suzuki was born in Shiogama on April 8, 1956. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career.

Playing for Yomiuri

In 1975, Suzuki joined the Yomiuri football club. He played as a midfielder for Yomiuri for many years. His time with the team lasted until 1986.

Returning to the Field

After a short break, Suzuki returned to playing football in 1989. He joined his local club, Tohoku Electric Power. This club later became known as Brummell Sendai. He played for this team while also working as a coach. Suzuki officially retired as a player in 1995.

Takekazu Suzuki also had a long career as a football coach and manager.

Starting as a Coach

Suzuki began his coaching journey in 1989. He started as a coach for his hometown club, Tohoku Electric Power. This club later changed its name to Brummell Sendai and then Vegalta Sendai.

Becoming a Manager

In 1990, Suzuki took on a bigger role. He became the manager of Brummell Sendai. He led the team until 1995.

Second Time as Manager

Suzuki returned to manage Brummell Sendai in 1998. However, the team faced a tough period in 1999. After some challenging games, he decided to step down in July of that year.
