Takeshi Hamada's Football Journey

Starting Out at Cerezo Osaka

Takeshi Hamada was born in Osaka, Japan, on December 21, 1982. He started his professional football career with Cerezo Osaka in 2001. This was a team in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league.

In his first year, Cerezo Osaka was moved down to the J2 League, the second division. However, Takeshi made his debut in the 2001 Emperor's Cup, a big tournament. His team reached the final and finished in second place.

Becoming a Key Player

In 2002, Takeshi played many games as a defensive midfielder. His efforts helped Cerezo Osaka get promoted back to the J1 League quickly. From 2003, he became a regular player for the team. They even reached the final of the 2003 Emperor's Cup, finishing second again.

Loan to Sagan Tosu

In 2005, Takeshi didn't play as much for Cerezo Osaka. So, in September 2005, he moved to Sagan Tosu, another J2 League club, on a temporary loan. He quickly became a regular player there and played many matches until 2006.

Return to Cerezo Osaka

Takeshi returned to Cerezo Osaka in 2007. At this time, Cerezo Osaka was back in the J2 League. He continued to play many games and helped the team get promoted back to the J1 League by the end of the 2009 season.

Time at Tokushima Vortis

In 2010, Takeshi moved to Tokushima Vortis, another team in the J2 League. He was a regular player for them. In 2013, he helped Tokushima Vortis achieve something special: they were promoted to the J1 League for the very first time in their history!

However, their time in the J1 League was short. In 2014, Tokushima Vortis finished last and was moved back down to the J2 League after just one year. From 2016, Takeshi played fewer games. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2017 season.

Takeshi Hamada had a long and successful career, playing for different clubs and helping them achieve important promotions.
