Takuro Nishimura (born August 15, 1977) is a former professional Japanese football player. He played as a defender. Nishimura is known for his time with teams like Omiya Ardija in Japan and Portland Timbers in the United States.

Takuro Nishimura's Football Journey
Takuro Nishimura started his football career in Japan. He played for several teams during his professional years. He was known for his smart play and ability to help his team attack.
His Early Football Journey
Nishimura attended Kokushikan University in Setagaya, Tokyo. He studied there from 1997 to 2000. During his college years, he won the All-Japan Prime Minister Cup. This was an important early achievement in his football career.
Playing for Professional Teams
Nishimura began his professional journey with J1 League team Urawa Reds. Even though he was with the team, he did not play in any league matches. In 2004, Urawa Reds finished second in the J1 League.
Later in 2004, he moved to Omiya Ardija, a rival team. He helped Omiya Ardija get promoted from the J2 League to the J1 League. He became a regular player for them, usually playing as a right-side defender. In 2005, the team finished second and moved up to J2.
His playing time decreased in 2006, but he became a regular player again in 2007. However, he played very little in 2008.
In April 2009, Nishimura joined the Portland Timbers. This team played in the USL First Division in the United States. On February 11, 2010, he signed a contract with Crystal Palace Baltimore for the 2010 season.
In 2011, Nishimura returned to Japan. He joined the J2 League club Consadole Sapporo. He played very few matches that year and decided to retire at the end of the 2011 season.
Representing Japan
Takuro Nishimura was part of Japan's youth national team. He played at the Under-14 level. However, he was never chosen to play for the senior Japan national team.
