Taleena Simon, born on December 18, 1992, is a talented Australian rugby league player. She is known for her skills as a winger, centre, and fullback. Taleena plays for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL Women's Premiership. She also plays for the Glebe Dirty Reds in the NSWRL Women's Premiership.

Taleena Simon's Rugby Journey
Taleena Simon started playing rugby league as a junior with the Redfern All Blacks team. She made her first senior appearance for the Guildford Owls in 2010.
Switching to Rugby Union
After a shoulder injury, Taleena decided to try a different sport: rugby union. In 2014, she joined the Australia women's national rugby sevens team. This was a big moment because she became the first Aboriginal woman to sign a full-time professional contract with the team.
Returning to Rugby League
In 2017, Taleena returned to her original sport, rugby league. She played for the Redfern All Blacks again in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership. The next year, in 2018, she played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the same league. She was the top try-scorer that season, which means she scored the most points by crossing the try line. Taleena also represented NSW City at the National Women's Championships.
Playing for the Roosters and New South Wales
On June 17, 2018, Taleena signed with the Sydney Roosters. She was one of their 15 main players chosen for the new NRL Women's Premiership.
Just a few days later, on June 22, 2018, Taleena played her first game for New South Wales in the State of Origin. Her team won 16–10 against Queensland.
In the first round of the 2018 NRL Women's Premiership, Taleena made her debut for the Sydney Roosters. She played on the wing in their game against the New Zealand Warriors.
Recent Career Highlights
On February 20, 2021, Taleena played for the Indigenous All Stars team. They played against the Māori All Stars. Later in 2021, she joined the Glebe Dirty Reds for their first season in the NSWRL Women's Premiership.
