Talia in the Kitchen is a fun American TV show that mixes a telenovela (a type of long soap opera) with a teen sitcom. It first aired on Nickelodeon on July 6, 2015. The show is based on a Latin American Nickelodeon telenovela called Toni, la Chef. It was created by the same writers who made other popular shows like Every Witch Way and WITS Academy.
Nickelodeon ordered 40 episodes for the first season of Talia in the Kitchen on March 4, 2015. Most episodes aired in July and December 2015. The show was later confirmed to be canceled on January 12, 2016.

What Is Talia in the Kitchen About?
The story follows 14-year-old Talia Parra, who loves to cook. She and her younger sister, Julie, visit their grandmother in Miami for the summer. They later move in with her.
Talia finds her late father's special magical spices. With help from her new friends and these spices, she brings her family's restaurant, Lola's, back to life. Her meals are so amazing, they can even change people's lives!
Meet the Characters
- Talia Parra (played by Maria Quezada): Talia is a positive girl who loves cooking and helping at Lola's. She doesn't like the Fuccinelli family because they closed Lola's. Talia is a "SpiceMaster," meaning she can use magical spices. She has a crush on Tyson. Her best friends are Rudy and Valerie.
- Deborah "Debbie" Fuccinelli (played by Gail Soltys): Debbie is Talia's main rival. She wants to be the best chef and often competes with Talia. Debbie works at her family's restaurant, Fuccinelli's. She learns to be more confident and kinder over time.
- Julie Parra (played by Galilea La Salvia): Julie is Talia's younger sister. She is very smart and creative, often acting more responsible than Talia. Julie is a child genius who invents things and helps fix Lola's. She is also a talented chef.
- Rudy Rosales (played by Joshua Hoffman): Rudy is Talia's best friend. He is good at fixing things and has a crush on Talia. He is also good friends with Valerie.
- Valerie Landry (played by Ellis Ann Jackson): Valerie is another one of Talia's best friends. She is kind and sweet but gets scared easily. She tries to always tell the truth and avoid trouble.
- Tyson Fuccinelli (played by Liam Obergfoll): Tyson is Debbie's twin brother. He is very different from Debbie, being charming and kind. He is a great athlete and becomes Talia's love interest.
- Federico "Frenchie" Fuccinelli (played by Miguel Luciano): Frenchie is Debbie's cousin and the head chef at Fuccinelli's. He is strict and wants everything to be perfect. He is a big rival to Lola's and tries to close it down.
- Dolores Parra (played by Jeannette Lehr): Dolores is Talia and Julie's grandmother. She is a sweet lady who taught Talia how to cook. She used to own Lola's and encourages Talia to be the best chef.
- Rocky Palroso (played by Ethan Estrada): Rocky is a 12-year-old boy who helps Talia and her friends many times. He seems to have a crush on Julie.
- Jayden Grubb (played by William Wilson): Jayden is a chef who appears later in the series. He is also a SpiceMaster, just like Talia. He and his brother Michael run a food truck. Jayden develops a crush on Talia.
