Eoin French (born in 1987 – died on August 11, 2024) was a musician from Ireland. He was known by his stage name, Talos. He created a type of music called indie electronic. Eoin was from Cork.

About Eoin French
Eoin French grew up in the city of Cork in Ireland. Before becoming a full-time musician, he studied to become an architect. He even taught architecture at University College Cork. Later, he also studied music at the Cork School of Music.
Eoin spent his time living in both Cork, Ireland, and Reykjavík, Iceland. He passed away in Cork on August 11, 2024, when he was 37 years old.
Talos's Music Journey
When Eoin French was in his early twenties, he was part of a band called Hush War Cry. In 2013, he began making music and performing as Talos. He chose the name Talos from an old Greek myth. Talos was a giant made of bronze who protected an island called Crete.
Talos released his first album, Wild Alee, in 2017. This album was very popular and was even nominated for the Choice Music Prize. The Irish Times newspaper gave it a great review, saying it was a "spectacularly assured debut." His second album, Far Out Dust, came out in 2019. Talos's third album, Dear Chaos, was released on October 7, 2022.
