Tamezret or Tamazrat (Arabic: تامزرط) is a special Berber village in Tunisia. It is located in the southeast part of the country. This village is about ten kilometers from Matmata. It is also forty kilometers southwest of Gabès, which is the capital city of its governorate.
Tamezret is a village built on a ridge. It sits on the four slopes of one of the highest hills in the Matmata mountains. The village is quite high up, at about 480 meters (1,575 feet) above sea level.
