Tampico Beverages is an American company. It makes many kinds of bottled drinks. These drinks are often fruit-flavored. Tampico also makes gelatin. You can find Tampico products in the United States. They are also sold in over 56 other countries worldwide. Since 2008, Tampico Beverages has been owned by Houchens Industries Inc.
How Tampico Began
Tampico Beverages started in 1989. At first, they only had one flavor: Citrus Punch. In the early 1990s, Tampico began to grow. They found their first international partner in Mexico. This partner helped them sell drinks there.
The company kept adding new flavors. They also worked with partners to create different bottle sizes. Today, Tampico sends its drink mixes to partners. These partners are in more than 50 countries.
What Tampico Makes
As of 2014, Tampico offered many products. In the U.S., their main drinks are called "punch." These drinks are mostly water, sugar, and flavorings. They have only a small amount of real fruit juice.
