Early Career and First Releases
Tank Washington started his music career as part of a hip-hop group called Impac. They released music through an independent label in Austin. In 2013, Tank Washington released his first solo music project. It was an extended play, or EP, called 6 Shots EP. An EP is a collection of songs, shorter than a full album.
Performing and New Albums
Also in 2013, Tank Washington performed with a group called LNS Crew. They played at a music festival called Fun Fun Fun Fest. In 2015, he was featured on a mixtape released by LNS Crew. A mixtape is like an album, often with a mix of new and old songs.
In 2016, Tank Washington released his album titled PAIN. That same year, he performed his first solo show at SXSW. SXSW is a big music and arts festival in Austin, Texas. Being a "Showcase Artist" means he was officially chosen to perform at the festival. In 2017, Tank performed with his brother, Kydd Jones, at Sound on Sound Fest. He released his album 183 in 2018.
