Target was a super popular magazine for kids in India. It came out every month in English from 1979 to 1995. The magazine had lots of cool stuff. There were stories from readers and writers. You could also find fun do-it-yourself projects. Plus, it had many awesome comic strips!
What Was Inside Target Magazine?
Target magazine was really special. It looked great and had amazing artists and writers. This made it different from other kids' magazines back then. Some other popular magazines were Tinkle, Champak, and Chandamama.
A cool part of Target was pages about international pen friends. Before email, people loved having pen friends. This meant writing letters to kids in other countries. It was a fun way to learn about the world. Many also collected stamps from different places.
Here are some popular comic strips that were in Target:
- Gardhab Das by Jayanto and Neelabh
- Detective Moochhwala and Funny World by Ajit Ninan
- Granny's Gupshup by Praloy Chakrovorty and Joygopal Podder
- It Happened in History written by Renuka Narayanan and drawn by Suddhasattwa Basu
