Tatsuru Mukojima (born January 9, 1966) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward, scoring many goals for different teams during his career.

Tatsuru Mukojima's Football Journey

Tatsuru Mukojima was born in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on January 9, 1966. After finishing his studies at Kokushikan University, he started his professional football career.

Early Career with Toshiba

In 1988, Mukojima joined the Toshiba football team. He quickly became a regular player, meaning he played in most of the team's games. He showed his skills as a forward, helping his team.

Moving to Shimizu S-Pulse

In 1992, Tatsuru Mukojima moved to a new club called Shimizu S-Pulse. This team was based in his home area, Shizuoka. He continued to play many matches for them from his very first season.

Cup Success with Shimizu S-Pulse

With Shimizu S-Pulse, Mukojima helped his team achieve great results. They finished second in the J.League Cup in both 1992 and 1993. This showed how strong the team was with him on the field. In 1996, his playing time started to decrease.

Joining Kawasaki Frontale

In 1997, Mukojima decided to move to Kawasaki Frontale, a team in the Japan Football League. He helped this club climb up the ranks.

Promotions and Retirement

Kawasaki Frontale was promoted to the J2 League in 1999. The very next year, in 2000, they were promoted again to the top division, the J1 League. Tatsuru Mukojima played his last season in 2001 and then retired from professional football.
