Tatsuya Fuji (藤 竜也, Fuji Tatsuya, born 27 August 1941) is a famous Japanese actor. He was born in Beijing, China, and grew up in Yokohama, Japan. He started his acting journey in 1962 when he joined the Nikkatsu Company. There, he began with smaller roles in movies.
In 1968, Tatsuya Fuji married actress Izumi Ashikawa. He became very well-known for his role in the TV show Jikandesuyo on TBS. His first main role in a movie was in Ninkyō Hanaichirin

A Career Full of Awards
Tatsuya Fuji has starred in many important films. Two of his movies, Empire of Passion and Bright Future, were shown at the famous Cannes Film Festival. This festival is a big event for movies around the world.
In 2003, he worked with director Kiyoshi Kurosawa in the film Bright Future. He acted alongside Tadanobu Asano and Joe Odagiri in this movie.

- In 2005, he won the Golden Goblet Award for Best Actor. He received this award for his work in the movie Village Photobook.
