Tatsuya Tsuruta (鶴田 達也, Tsuruta Tatsuya, born September 9, 1982) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a goalkeeper for several teams in Japan's professional leagues. Tatsuya Tsuruta was known for his dedication and efforts throughout his career.

Playing Career Highlights
Tatsuya Tsuruta was born in Fuji, Japan, on September 9, 1982. He started his journey in professional football with J1 League club Shimizu S-Pulse in 2001. During his first time there, he found it hard to get playing time.
Joining Ventforet Kofu
In 2002, Tsuruta moved to J2 League club Ventforet Kofu on a temporary transfer, called a loan. Here, he became a regular goalkeeper and played in many matches. However, in 2003, a new goalkeeper joined the team, and Tsuruta's playing opportunities decreased.
Returning to Shimizu S-Pulse and Back to Ventforet Kofu
He returned to Shimizu S-Pulse in 2004 but again did not play in any matches. In 2005, he went back to Ventforet Kofu. He started as a regular goalkeeper, but later in the year, he played less often.
Promotions and Challenges
Ventforet Kofu was promoted to the J1 League in 2006. Tsuruta did not play many matches that year. In June 2007, he became a regular goalkeeper again. However, the club was moved back down to the J2 League at the end of the 2007 season. From 2008, he had fewer chances to play.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2010, Tsuruta joined Ehime FC, another J2 League club, but he did not play in any matches there. In 2011, he moved to Kataller Toyama. Unfortunately, he injured his right knee before the season started. He recovered in October and became a regular goalkeeper. He played many matches until June 2012. After that, a new goalkeeper joined the team, and Tsuruta played less. He decided to retire from football at the end of the 2012 season.
