Tatura is a town in the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria, Australia, Australia. The town part of the City of Greater Shepparton local government area. It is 167 kilometres (104 mi) north of the state capital, Melbourne and 18 kilometres (11 mi) west of the regional centre of Shepparton. In 2011 there were 3,672 people living in the town.
There are several large companies based in Tatura. These include Tatura Milk Industries, Goulburn-Murray Water's corporate headquarters, Sinclair Knight Merz, and the Department of Primary Industries (Victoria). Several multinational corporations such as Unilever and Snow Brand Milk Products have processing factories in the town.
Attractions include the Cussen Park wetlands, the World War II Prisoner of War Camps, and the Irrigation Museum.
The name of the town is an Aboriginal word meaning "small lagoon".
