The Taube Museum of Art is a cool art museum located in Downtown Minot, North Dakota. It's a place where you can see many different kinds of art. The museum used to be called the Minot Art Gallery. It was later named after Lillian and Coleman Taube, who were important supporters.

History of the Museum

The museum started in 1970. At first, it was in a home on US 83. Later, it moved to the Ward County Historical Society. This was at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds.

A New Home in Downtown Minot

In 1977, the museum found its permanent home. The group bought the old Union National Bank Building. This building is at 2 North Main Street. It was built in 1923 after a fire. The bank used this building until 1963.

What You Can See at the Museum

The Taube Museum of Art has two main areas for showing art. There is a main gallery and a lower gallery. These spaces display many different artworks.

Artworks and Gift Shop

You can see paintings and other art pieces. These are often made by artists from the local area. The museum also has a gift shop. Here, you can buy unique art created by these talented artists.

Visiting Hours

The museum is open from Tuesday through Friday. You can visit between 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM. It's a great place to explore art and learn new things.
