About Tayanna

Her Early Life

Tetyana Mykhaylivna Reshetnyak was born in the city of Chernivtsi, Ukraine. When she was eight years old, her parents encouraged her to attend a music school. She started in the accordion class but left after about a year.

Later, when she was 13, Tatyana began to study singing. She first sang in a group and then took private lessons. In 2001, she had a special chance to perform with an ensemble in Lviv. This was before Pope John Paul II appeared.

One of her first big moments was a trip to Skadovsk for the Black Sea Games festival. There, she won third place. Tatyana has three brothers. Two of them are twins who work as confectioners, and one of them also sings. Her other brother, Misha Marvin, is also a well-known singer in Ukraine. Her parents are Natalia and Mikhail.

Music Career Begins

In 2008, Tatyana became a member of a girl group called Hot Chocolate (Горячий Шоколад). After three years, her time with the group ended.

The Voice of Ukraine

In 2014, Reshetnyak tried out for the fourth season of The Voice of Ukraine (Голос країни). However, none of the coaches turned their chairs for her. In the summer of that year, she released a music video for her song "Znayu i veryu" (Знаю и верю).

She returned to The Voice of Ukraine in 2015 for the fifth season. This time, all the coaches turned their chairs during her blind audition. She sang the traditional Ukrainian song "Kray miy ridnyy kray" (Край мій рідний край). Reshetnyak chose Potap as her coach. She made it all the way to the final show, where she finished in second place.
