This means it's not officially a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county. You can find Teaselville where two roads meet: Farm to Market Road 344 and Farm to Market Road 346. It's about 4 miles (6.4 km) west of a town called Bullard.

People started living in the area that would become Teaselville by 1846. The community itself officially began in 1850. For a while, Teaselville even had its own post office, which opened in 1900. However, the post office closed down by 1936. In the year 2000, about 150 people lived in Teaselville.
