Teddy is a small, quiet place located in the western part of Casey County, Kentucky, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes or buildings that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
How Teddy Got Its Name
Teddy was named by its very first postmaster, a person named Billy Roe Combest. He decided to name the community after his son, Theodore.
The Post Office Story
Teddy once had its own post office, which was a central place for people to send and receive mail. However, this post office is no longer open. It closed its doors in 1932, which was a long time ago!
