Teebs' Early Life and Music Journey
Mtendere Mandowa was born in The Bronx. His parents came from Malawi and Barbados. He grew up with a mix of cultures.
How Teebs Started in Music
Teebs released his first album, Ardour, in 2010. It came out on a record label called Brainfeeder. A magazine called LA Weekly said it was "one of the most delicate and lovely albums of the year." This means people really liked his unique sound.
In 2011, he released another album called Collections 01. This album was a collection of his music.
New Music and Collaborations
In 2013, Teebs worked with another artist named Prefuse 73. They formed a duo called Sons of the Morning. They released their first EP, Speak Soon Volume One. An EP is like a mini-album with fewer songs.
Teebs released his second studio album, Estara, in 2014. This album also came out on the Brainfeeder label.
In October 2019, Teebs released his third studio album, Anicca. This album featured other cool artists like Panda Bear, Pink Siifu, and Sudan Archives.
In September 2022, Teebs released a new song called "Did It Again." It featured Panda Bear again. He also released another song called "NES" at the same time.
