Mtendere Mandowa, known by his stage name Teebs, is an American music producer and visual artist. He comes from Los Angeles, California. Teebs is part of a group called My Hollow Drum. He is also one half of the music duo Sons of the Morning.

Teebs' Early Life and Music Journey
Mtendere Mandowa was born in The Bronx. His parents came from Malawi and Barbados.
Teebs' First Albums
Teebs released his first album, Ardour, in 2010. It was released by Brainfeeder, a record label. The album was called "one of the most delicate and lovely albums of the year" by LA Weekly. In 2011, he released a collection of songs called Collections 01, also with Brainfeeder.
Collaborations and New Music
In 2013, Teebs worked with Prefuse 73 on a project called Sons of the Morning. They released their first EP (a short album) called Speak Soon Volume One.
In 2014, Teebs released his second studio album, Estara, with Brainfeeder. Later, in October 2019, his third album, Anicca, came out. This album featured other artists like Panda Bear, Pink Siifu, and Sudan Archives.
In September 2022, Teebs released a new song called "Did It Again." This song also featured Panda Bear. It came with another song called "NES."
Teebs' Unique Music Style
Teebs' music style is often called "beat music." He creates his sounds by recording, layering, and changing different noises. These can include sounds from harps, shakers, drum taps, and even tape peeling. He then organizes these sounds to make his unique songs.
