Who is Tekitha?
Tekitha started her music journey as the main female singer for the Wu-Tang Clan. She sang on their album Wu-Tang Forever. She even had her own song on that album called "Second Coming." She also appeared in a music video for Ghostface Killah's song "All That I Got Is You."
Her Music Journey
Tekitha first signed with RZA's record label, Razor Sharp Records. Later, she joined Ghostface Killah's Starks Enterprise. She continued to sing on many Wu-Tang Clan projects. For example, she was featured on Raekwon's album The Lex Diamond Story. She also worked with artists outside of the Wu-Tang family, like KRS-One and Armand Van Helden. While she is mostly known for singing, you can hear her rapping on songs like "Pump Your Fist" by Cappadonna and "Mantis" by RZA.
In 2002, Tekitha released a song called "You." RZA produced this track. It was meant to be on her first album, Wisdom Body, which was planned for 2004. However, that album was never officially released.
Solo Music and Collaborations
Tekitha released her first solo music project in 2010. It was a short album called The Prelude with six new songs. RZA, Armand Van Helden, and others helped produce the music. Tekitha, RZA, and Jeff Jones were the main producers for this project. It was released under her own label, Wisdom Body Entertainment.
In 2022, Tekitha released a collaborative album called Week Of The Phoenix. She worked with Ahmed Soultan, a singer and producer from Morocco, on this album.
Family and Music
Tekitha has a daughter named Prana Supreme Diggs, who was born in 2000. Tekitha and Prana have formed their own music group called O.N.E The Duo. They perform country songs together. In 2023, O.N.E The Duo released their first album, Blood Harmony.
