Teletoon+ (also written as teleTOON+) is a TV channel from Poland. It is owned by a company called Canal+ Group. This channel shows many different animated movies and TV series. It is made for young people, usually between 10 and 16 years old. Before it was called Teletoon+, it had two other names: Minimax and ZigZap.
What's on Teletoon+?
Teletoon+ broadcasts many animated shows and movies. It has a history of special programming blocks. These blocks were like mini-channels within the main channel. They showed specific types of programs at certain times.
Late Night Shows
For a while, Teletoon+ (when it was called Minimax) had a special late-night section. This section was called Game One. It ran from August 1, 1999, to August 31, 2001. It was named after a French TV channel.
Later, on September 1, 2001, a new block started. It was called Hyper. This part of the channel showed programs about video games. It also showed animated series from Japan. Hyper continued even when the channel changed its name to ZigZap. On November 11, 2011, it was renamed Hyper+. This special block ended on July 1, 2014.
Even today, Teletoon+ still shows video game programs late at night. However, they don't use a special name or brand for these shows anymore.
Other Special Sections
From 2000 to 2004, Minimax had two more special programming blocks.
- MiniKaruzela started on December 24, 2000. This block was for very young children, like preschoolers.
- MaxiStrefa began in January 2002. This one was for older viewers, over 12 years old.
MiniKaruzela stopped on April 10, 2004. This happened after a new channel called MiniMini+ (now MiniMini+) started on December 20, 2003. All the shows from MiniKaruzela moved to the new MiniMini+ channel.
However, MaxiStrefa kept going until October 15, 2004. On that day, the Minimax channel changed its name to ZigZap.
