José Vicente "Tente" Sánchez Felip, born on October 8, 1956, is a former Spanish professional football player. He was known for playing in the midfielder position.

Tente Sánchez's Club Career

Tente Sánchez was born in Barcelona, Catalonia. He quickly became an important player for FC Barcelona's main team. In the 1975–76 season, he played four games and scored one goal. This was while he was still part of the reserve team, Barcelona B.

After that, Sánchez played regularly for Barcelona. He helped the club win many important trophies. These included three Copa del Rey titles and two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups. In the first Cup Winners' Cup final in 1979, he scored a goal in their 4–3 victory against Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Sánchez and Barcelona also reached another big European final. This was the 1985–86 European Cup final. They lost this match to FC Steaua București after a penalty shootout. The game was played in Seville at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium. By this time, he was not playing as much as before. He played 22 matches in his last two years with the club. However, he did play in 13 La Liga games when Barcelona won their only league title with him on the team.

In the summer of 1986, Sánchez left Barcelona. He joined another top-tier team, Real Murcia. He played two more strong seasons there. Sánchez stopped playing professional football in 1990 when he was 33 years old. His last team was CE Sabadell FC, another club from Catalonia, which played in the Segunda División. Later, in the 1990s, he started working as a player's agent.

Tente Sánchez's International Career

Tente Sánchez played for the Spanish national team 14 times over five years. His first game was on October 4, 1978. Spain won 2–1 against Yugoslavia in a qualifier for the UEFA Euro 1980. Sánchez came into the game with five minutes left, replacing Juanito from Real Madrid.

He was also chosen to play for Spain in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. This World Cup was held in Spain. Sánchez played in four matches during the tournament. Spain was knocked out in the second group stage.
