Teresa Mary Nugent Freeman-Grenville was born on July 20, 1957. She holds a special title in Britain called the 13th Lady Kinloss. This means she is a "peeress," a woman who has inherited a noble title.
She is connected to some very old royal families. She is a direct descendant of Edward Seymour, Viscount Beauchamp. He was the older son of Lady Catherine Grey, who was the sister of Lady Jane Grey. Lady Jane Grey was briefly the Queen of England after King Edward VI died. Because of this family connection, some people have suggested that Lady Kinloss could have a claim to the English throne, based on old rules about who inherits the crown.
About Lady Kinloss
Early Life and Family
Teresa Mary Nugent Freeman-Grenville was born in Tanga, Tanzania. She is the older of two daughters. Her mother was Mary Freeman-Grenville, 12th Lady Kinloss, and her father was Dr. Greville Stewart Parker Freeman. Later, her father changed his name to Freeman-Grenville.
Lady Kinloss is also a great-great-granddaughter of Richard Plantagenet Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville, 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Chandos. He was also known as Lord Kinloss. When he passed away, some of his titles ended. Others went to his cousins. However, the title of Lord Kinloss was passed down to his oldest daughter, Mary.
Inheriting the Title
Lady Kinloss is the senior heir of Edward Seymour, Viscount Beauchamp. He was the only son of Lady Catherine Grey, who was the sister of Lady Jane Grey. King Henry VIII made a will about who should inherit the throne. Based on this old will, Lady Kinloss inherited her mother's claim to the crown. However, this claim has never been officially pursued.
She went to school at Rye St Antony School in Headington, Oxford. After that, she studied fashion at York Art School. On September 30, 2012, she became the Lady Kinloss. This happened after her mother passed away. Her brother, Bevil David Stewart Chandos Freeman-Grenville, had also passed away less than a year before.
Life and Hobbies
Lady Kinloss lives in North View House, which is in Sheriff Hutton, North Yorkshire. She has worked for National Milk Records since 1992. In a famous book called Who's Who, she shares her favorite hobbies. These include spending time with dogs, taking care of goats, and spinning and weaving.
The person who is expected to inherit her title next is her younger sister. Her sister is Hon. Hester Josephine Anne Haworth, who was born in 1960. Hester married Peter Haworth in 1984 and they have three sons.
