Teresita is the Vice Chairperson of SM Investments Corporation (SMIC). This is one of the biggest companies in the Philippines. It owns many businesses like stores, banks, and real estate. She is also the Chairwoman of BDO Unibank, Inc. (BDO). BDO is the largest bank in the Philippines. In 2020, Forbes magazine listed her as one of the 50 richest people in the Philippines.
