Teu Ó hAilpín is an Irish athlete who plays two exciting sports: Gaelic football and Australian Rules football. He has played for teams like Na Piarsaigh GAA in Ireland and the Leeside Lions in Australia.

Teu was born in Cork, Ireland. He grew up playing Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) sports. He played for the Éire Óg club in Ennis and Na Piarsaigh in Cork. Teu comes from a family of talented athletes! His brothers, Seán Óg Ó hAilpín and Aisake, are famous Cork senior hurling players. His older brother, Setanta, also played Australian Rules football for Carlton.

In 2001, Teu left his Cork City team, Na Piarsaigh. He then joined the Clare team, Éire Óg. Even though he had played for Cork at younger levels (minor and Under-21), Teu decided to play for Clare in 2001. After a short time playing senior football for his county, he moved to London. While in London, Teu won the London Senior Hurling Championship in 2004 with the London GAA team, Robert Emmett's.

Teu's Australian Rules Football Journey

After playing Gaelic football for a while, Teu Ó hAilpín decided to try a new sport. He joined the Leeside Lions, an Australian rules football club. This team plays in the Australian Rules Football League of Ireland (ARFLI).

Teu quickly became a star player for the Leeside Lions. He helped his team win the 2007 Premiership, which is like winning a championship! He played alongside Denis Kennelly, who is a cousin of the famous Australian Rules football player Tadhg Kennelly.
