Teva Harrison (born August 20, 1976 – died April 28, 2019) was a talented writer and artist. She was from both Canada and the United States. When she was 37, Teva learned she had metastatic breast cancer. This means the cancer had spread. Teva decided to share her experiences. She used drawings and stories to show what it was like.
Her works were put together into a special book. It was a graphic memoir called In-Between Days. A graphic memoir tells a true story using comics and words. This book was very important. Teva Harrison wrote more than just In-Between Days. In 2016, she also published The Joyful Living Colouring Book. After she passed away, another book came out. It was a collection of her poems and drawings. This book was called Not One of These Poems is About You. It was published in January 2020.
Teva wrote for several well-known magazines and websites. These included The Walrus, Granta, and HuffPost. Her work was also featured in many places. Some of these were Globe and Mail and The New York Times. She also spoke on CBC Radio. She shared her experiences there. Teva became a respected voice. Art Exhibitions and Projects
