About Tor
Tor Thanapob was born on February 14, 1994. He is the youngest of three children in his family. His parents are Chatchawan and Areeya Leeratanakachorn.
He went to Adventist Ekamai School. Later, he studied at Kasetsart University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. His major was Packaging Technology.
Tor's Acting Journey
Tor started his career by appearing in music videos. His first TV acting role was in an episode of Club Friday: The Series in 2012.
In 2013, Tor joined Nadao Bangkok, a talent agency. He then got a big role as Phai in the popular Thai TV show, Hormones: The Series. This role made him very well-known and helped him become popular.
Early Films and TV Shows
Tor's first movie was the thriller The Swimmers in 2014. He won an award for "Outstanding Male Rising Star" for his role in this film. After that, he appeared in several other TV series and films.
In 2015, he starred in the movie May Who?. He played a main character named Fame. His performance in this film earned him a nomination for "Best Supporting Actor."
Award-Winning Roles
From 2016 to 2017, Tor acted in more TV series like O-Negative and The Cupid's Series. He also played Gym, a badminton athlete with autism, in Project S: The Series – Side by Side (2017). His acting in this role was highly praised. He won the "Best Actor Award" at the 9th Nataraj Awards in 2018 for this performance.
In 2018, Tor starred with other members of Nine by Nine in the TV series In Family We Trust. He played the character Yi. His acting received great reviews and he won awards like "Best Supporting Actor" and "Actor of the Year" for this role.
After the Nine by Nine project, Tor took on a lead role in the action drama series Man of Vengeance (2019). He won the "Best Actor for Television Series" award for his role as Sila/Aran. He also starred in The Last Promise (2020).
Recent Work
In 2021, Tor appeared in two films. One was One for the Road, which was shown at the Sundance Film Festival. The other was the Netflix original film, Ghost Lab.
In 2021, HOWE Thailand magazine recognized Tor as one of the "Top 50 Most Influential People." This was for his excellent acting and his impact as an influencer.
Tor was with Nadao Bangkok until June 2022. Since July 2022, he has his own management team called TNPLEE.connect. They help manage his career and promote his projects.
Music Career
Tor was a member of the Thai boy group Nine by Nine, which started in 2018. He mentioned that dancing was challenging for him at first. However, with practice and encouragement from his bandmates and fans, he improved a lot.
The group released a mini-album called "En-Route." Tor sang in five of their songs, including "Night Light" and "Eternity." He also went on three tours with Nine by Nine across Thailand from 2018 to 2019.
