What's the Story About?
Emily Brown has a special stuffed rabbit named Stanley. He is floppy and gray, and Emily loves him very much. They go on exciting adventures every single day.
They might go scuba diving deep in the ocean. Or they might blast off into outer space! Emily and Stanley always have a lot of fun together.
One day, they hear a knock at the kitchen door. It is the Queen's Footman. He wants Stanley for the Queen! He calls Stanley "Bunnywunny."
The Footman offers Emily a brand-new golden bear in trade. But Emily says no. Stanley belongs to her!
The Queen keeps sending more of her officers. They offer Emily more and more new toys. But Emily keeps saying no.
So, the Queen's officers steal Stanley while Emily is sleeping. The next morning, Emily marches straight to the castle.
She finds out the Queen put Stanley in the laundry. He turned pink! Also, he was filled with too much stuffing. His mouth was sewn shut, making him look very sad.
Emily takes her rabbit and goes home. But first, she gives the golden teddy bear to the sad Queen. Emily tells the Queen to do everything with the bear.
She tells the Queen to go on adventures and sleep with the bear at night. Emily says this will make the bear real.
Later, Emily gets a letter from the Queen. It says "Thank you." The letter also has a picture of the Queen. She is holding her golden bear, and it is smiling!
