Plot Summary: A Family's Wild Adventure
This section tells you all about the exciting story of The Boy Who Cried Werewolf.
Meet the Sands Family
The movie starts with Jordan Sands (Victoria Justice). She is a shy 17-year-old girl with lots of allergies. Jordan has taken on a lot of responsibility since her mother passed away. Her dad, David (Matt Winston), is having money problems. Jordan's 14-year-old brother, Hunter (Chase Ellison), loves monsters and plays scary pranks.
A Mysterious Inheritance
The family gets a big surprise. They inherit a castle in Wolfsberg, Romania! It belonged to their mother's Great-Uncle Dragomir Vukovic. They didn't even know he existed. When they arrive, they meet the castle's strange housekeeper, Madame Varcolac (Brooke Shields). She seems a bit mysterious.
A Strange Accident
David wants to sell the castle to solve their money troubles. He starts dating Paulina von Eckberg, the bubbly real estate agent. Meanwhile, Jordan explores Dragomir's old lab. She accidentally steps on a glass vial filled with blood. Hunter pulls the glass out, but Jordan starts to change. Her senses become super sharp, and her allergies disappear!
Jordan's Transformation
Hunter's friends tell him that Jordan might be turning into a werewolf. They say it could be from a family curse, a bite, or getting infected with werewolf blood. Hunter realizes the vial of blood was labeled "LB-217," which means "Lycanthrope Blood." Soon, Jordan transforms into a werewolf, and Hunter sees it happen. She tries not to hurt him and runs away.
The Search for a Cure
Hunter's friends warn him that if Jordan isn't cured by sunrise, she'll be a werewolf forever. They say the only known cure is a silver bullet, but Hunter refuses to harm his sister. He goes to Madame Varcolac for help.
Secrets of the Castle
Varcolac reveals that Dragomir, the great-uncle, was also a werewolf. He was known as the "Wolfsberg Beast." He protected the castle and town from vampires. Before he died, Dragomir was working on a cure for lycanthropy (being a werewolf).
The Vampire's Plan
As Varcolac gathers ingredients for the cure, Paulina captures Jordan and Hunter. Paulina reveals she is a vampire! She was the one who killed Dragomir. She wants to take over the castle, but she can't as long as Dragomir's werewolf relatives are alive. Jordan, in her werewolf form, is tied up. Hunter escapes and leads his dad, David, to the hideout. But they get captured too!
A New Wolfsberg Beast
Just as Paulina is about to shoot Jordan, Hunter suddenly turns into a werewolf! It turns out he is the true descendant of the werewolf bloodline, not Jordan. The werewolf siblings fight the vampires. When the sun rises, the vampires are destroyed by the sunlight.
The Cure and New Beginnings
Back at the manor, Hunter's blood is used to make the antidote. It works! Jordan becomes half-human and half-werewolf. The Sands family gets the money Dragomir left them. It's enough to keep both the castle and their old home. Hunter becomes the new Wolfsberg Beast, just like his destiny planned.
A Surprise Ending
The family returns to California. Jordan is now much more confident at school. But there's a twist! Paulina, the vampire, survived. She has moved into their neighborhood, still planning to take the castle. The movie ends with the cast singing "...Baby One More Time" at karaoke.
