The Clue of the Leaning Chimney is an exciting mystery book, the 26th story in the popular Nancy Drew Mystery Stories series. It first came out in 1949. Like many Nancy Drew books, it was written by "Carolyn Keene" – which is a pen name used by different writers. For this book, the main writers were George Waller, Jr. and Harriet Stratemeyer Adams.
What's the Mystery About?
The story begins when a very old and valuable Chinese vase goes missing from a pottery shop. The shop owner is very upset and asks teenage detective Nancy Drew for her help.
As Nancy starts her investigation, she hears about a strange "leaning chimney." This clue leads her on a search for some missing pottery experts. Nancy soon discovers that these experts might be connected to the stolen vase.
During her search, Nancy also uncovers a dangerous group of people. This group is taking advantage of new arrivals to the country, forcing them to work in unfair conditions. Nancy must use all her detective skills to solve the mystery of the leaning chimney, find the missing experts, and help those in trouble.
