The Crystal Maze is a super fun British game show. It first aired on Channel 4 from 1990 to 1995. The show made a big comeback in 2016! In the game, a team of six players works together. They complete exciting challenges to win special crystals. Many different hosts have guided the teams. Richard O'Brien was the first host. Later, Ed Tudor-Pole took over. More recently, Stephen Merchant and Richard Ayoade have hosted the show.

Exploring The Maze

This exciting game show was created by Chatsworth Television. It's like a British version of a French show called Fort Boyard. The maze has four different areas, called zones. These zones are Medieval, Aztec, Futuristic, and Industrial. In each zone, players try to complete tricky challenges. If they succeed, they earn a valuable crystal. Each crystal they win gives them five extra seconds. These seconds are very important for the final challenge in the Crystal Dome! Over time, the Industrial zone was changed. It was replaced with a cool Ocean zone.

The Crystal Dome Challenge

The Crystal Dome is a giant, clear glass dome. This is where the team goes for the final part of the game. Inside the dome, tiny golden and silver tickets fly around. The players must try to catch as many as they can! For every gold ticket they put into a special box, they earn one point. But watch out! For every silver ticket they put in, they lose one point.

If the team collects more than 100 points, they win a fantastic big prize! If they don't reach 100 points, they still get a small crystal. It's a cool souvenir to take home from their adventure!
